SPONSORED WALK – TAITH CERDDED

QUIZ IN THE EAGLES IN THE EVENING – AT 7.30 P.M. ALSO IN AID OF S.A.R.D.A.
Approximate distance: 13 ½ miles (on lanes, forest tracks and boggy upland paths). One section from Cwm Penmachno to Rhyd y Gro will be on the public road.
This event raised £923.15, well done to everybody involved.

Llandrillo College The students are on the Welsh Baccalaureate and this was their Enterprise Module where they 'adopt' a charity and raise funds - ideally in a new and innovative way - for that charity. We gave them a talk before Xmas and have liaised with them throughout about how they can raise funds. Flash and Cadi were there for the day, and Geraint and Fly did a demo at lunchtime. Raised a total of £100.13 A big thanks to all involved. |
NEW NAME – SAME AIM
The much in demand Rescue Services will be the beneficiaries of the newly named Snowdon Charity Bike Ride, which takes place on 7th and 8th March this year. Since the first riders took part in the 1990s the event, then known as the Snowdon Marathon Bike Hike, has raised more than £55,000 for charities in Wales. This year sponsorship and donations will be shared between Llanberis Mountain Rescue team, the Search and Rescue Dogs Association (Wales) and the Air Ambulance. The event is an informal and sociable 30 mile ride on the roads around Snowdon, starting and finishing at the Cwellyn Arms in Rhyd Ddu. Open to anyone able to turn the pedals, it’s a fun ride with a purpose.

A Big Thank You to Snowdon Mountain Railway in Llanberis, for allowing us to Fundraise at the station on the August Bank Holiday weekend. We managed to raise almost £300 in the collection boxes and £60 on goods.
Hopefully next year things will be back to normal and we will be able to collect on the Snowdon summit.

Ferret Derby in Betws y Coed Sarda did a demo and had a stall. Antony and Moss got second place in the Best six legs contest. Better luck next year boys! |

Spin and Sally organised and took part in a sponsored walk, quiz and raffle this summer for SARDA Wales. Together they have raised a very respectable £828.30 A very big thank you to the good people of the Eagles pub Penmachno for their generosity and support!
